Hi, I'm Dibs! I'm a professional freelance proofreader and editor, based in Tomintoul (Scotland).

Proofreading Plus offers just that: proofreading, plus more.

I offer professional proofreading, editing, copy typing, and CV/cover letter writing services to businesses, individuals, and students.

I have a BA degree in Publishing with Journalism and a diploma with distinction in Proofreading and Editing. I've previously worked in the editing department of a large company that produces technical documentation for the oil and gas sector here in the UK, and also managed the marketing and recruitment activities for an independent construction company in New Zealand.

Words have always been my passion, and getting them right is crucial to ensure your documentation is error-free and professional, and that you're getting your message across clearly.

PAYMENT TERMS

I will request a sample of your document (or the document in full) and then provide you with:

  • a fixed-price quote
  • an invoice for a non-refundable 20% deposit (to be paid before I commence work on your project)
  • a contract outlining terms, conditions, the scope of the project, and the project start and completion dates

Once your project has been completed, you will be sent a watermarked version (usually in PDF format) as proof of completion, along with an invoice for the remaining 80% due (payable within 7 days). As soon as the final payment has been received, your completed project will be sent to you.

*Completed projects will not be released until final payment has been made in full.

She produced a series of documents that have enabled us to review our website and methodically correct errors in our copy.
